The UK Terror Plot Conspiracy ???

Its been a long time since I’ve blogged but this story brought me right back here. I just couldn’t seem to get over the fact that all the suspects were foreign “doctors”. First up, I’ve said it before and will say it again, I think only the under-privileged or madrasa brainwashed or the illiterate turn out to be Muslim extremists. I’m not saying that no doctor can be a terrorist, there can always be an exception! But 8 doctors! Hmmmm…

Think about it. Why would someone who has studied for probably 7-8 yrs of his life just throw it away for religious beliefs? I’m not saying its not possible, I’m just saying that 8 doctors doing it doesn’t seem to make sense to me. Plus I read in the news that none of these guys were on the terror watch list.

And what makes it seem more fishy is the fact that its happened at a time when the British govt. is having a problem with a lot of immigrant and jobless doctors. They probably need a catalyst to start making visas tougher on foreign docs. And the whole thing smells of one big conspiracy! And this might be a figment of my imagination, but the facts and the stories drive me to believe this.

It started in January of this yr when I read a story in the Hindustan Times about 1000s of Indian docs being out of jobs in the UK because of the preference given to docs from the EU.

Read the Story here.

So now, what happens? From this Story :

“Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the government will expand checks on immigrants taking skilled jobs and review recruiting for the National Health Service, which employed all eight suspects in last week's foiled terror plots.”

On the one hand, they want to make money by tempting foreign docs with a future in the UK and making the PLAB (Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board Test - a mandatory requirement for all immigrant doctors) test available to everyone. These tests are held regularly in India and other countries. But now, preference is given to doctors from the European Union . They do not have to appear for PLAB.

All this may sound coincidental, but I don’t think it is. I think its just one big game they use to play with the psyche of the public. I’m still trying to get over the fact that I can’t take my water on a plane, which in my opinion is another bullshit story!

Think about it!
